Episode 514 Mama Spent Money When She Had None
This week everyone is concerned about money. Lynette is struggling financially after paying Porters legal fees and business at Scavos is getting quieter. Carlos closed a deal and now he and Gabby are almost rich again. Susan got MJ into a private school but cant afford the tuition fees and Brees book is selling so well she has been signed to a new three book deal. Bree buys a new car, a Lexus that can park itself, but realises something is up when Lynette walks away. She learns of her troubles and offers her twenty thousand dollars to help her. Lynette refuses to take it but then does, offering Bree fifteen percent of Scavos.
Lynette wants to host a thank you party for Bree which she turns into a book signing although when Lynette uses cheap parmesan cheese Bree has to intervene. This angers Lynette who wishes she never took the money and on leaving the party, accidentally hits Brees new car. She hands Bree a cheque to pay for the damage but Bree tears it up.
Gabby wants to get back into one of her dresses so she joins an exercise boot camp with Edie but quits after one day. Edie berates Gabby for dropping out after she recommended her which upsets Gabby so she reluctantly rejoins, fits into her dress and looks stunning.
Katherine parades some new pearls Mike bought her, but when Susan goes to Mike for MJs tuition money he says he hasnt got any. Hes working around the clock to try and provide and it is revealed the pearls are fake. He doesnt see Susan doing anything to gain extra income. This makes Susan go to the school and force herself to be hired as an assistant art teacher.
Tom has to sell his beloved car in order to make some extra money, Dave commiserates him and Bob tells Lee that it was Dave who told the police Porter was involved in the fire. Lee then tells Tom at the Scavos party and Tom goes and attacks Dave. Dave apologises but manages to hold off Tom. Dave thought they were friends, Tom said so did he.
After the last episode its good to be back on track, more humour and drama and good that finally Susan has a job! Never seen her with one before and always wondered how she lived so well. I really do love Dave as a character and still hope he can stick around after he gets his revenge.
