The anticipation rises within as we edge ever closer to the return of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The first official look at the new season has been released and is below.

The fence is broken! Does this mean there is trouble afoot at the prison? Who’s the culprit? Zombies? The Governor? Someone inside the prison? It should all be very exciting.

I’ve made my thoughts clear on the direction this new season should take but now we’ve got a lot more people in the prison, I don’t see why we can’t have a threat from within – I’m thinking Dexter. The mass murdering, child beheading psychopath who seems so normal on the outside. There are possibilities, but I think we’ll see a little internal politics to start with followed by some exploration to find the Alexandria Safe Zone and within, the Governor, conning another bunch of victims.
