Episode 309 – “It’s Coming”
Oh yes, “it’s coming” alright, another solar eclipse is coming and it’s got the Heroes and Villains all in a tizz. When we last left our heroes, Hiro was about to have his head ripped off by Mr. Petrelli but Ando intervenes and saves him for a second, then Arthur is distracted by one of the paintings on the rocks of a solar eclipse. Ando gets Hiro to transport them somewhere but what is going on? Hiro seems to have regressed into the mind of a ten year old. Ando spends the episode trying to get Hiro to remember his powers and find his destiny. They end up in a comic book shop and Hiro starts reading 9th Wonders.
Sylar is told by Arthur that he can gain new powers without having to kill people, he needs to use his empathy and Arthur shuts him in a room with Elle who wants revenge on Sylar for killing her father. There are some good effects here and Sylar tries to calm Elle but it doesn’t work until he proves he has changed and she can too. Sylar learns her power and the two share an embrace.
Parkman finds Angela and goes inside her head to unlock her from the cage Arthur has put her in. Daphne rushes off to tell Arthur and then they all end up inside Angela’s head. She then uses her power to trick Arthur into releasing her. Daphne pleads with Matt and tells him she loves him.
Claire and Peter are on the run from Flint and Knox, Claire won’t give up on Peter even after he tells her she becomes a villain but it turns out Knox and Flint are after her! Peter rescues her again and the two flee to Angela where they meet up with Daphne, Matt, Nathan and Tracy.
After confronting his Dad, Nathan leaves confused. He doesn’t know what to believe anymore so goes to see his Mum. Tracy stays behind and speaks to Arthur telling him she can push Nathan onto his side of the fence if he scratches her back. She says he needs a face to the company as Arthur can’t do it himself since he’s supposed to be dead, so she promises to deliver Nathan to him.
Mohinder is still trying to develop the serum but there is something missing, a catalyst. Arthur says he knows where to get it. When Angela awakens from her coma she too speaks of the catalyst and says Hiro’s father hid it somewhere. Claire pipes up saying that when Sylar looked inside her head he saw something and called her special. She is the catalyst?
Antoher good episode, I try to forget all the things that contridict the others now and just enjoy the episode. For example, Future Peter wouldn’t have his powers after Present Peter lost them, therefore he could never go back in time in the first place so Present Peter doesn’t have to worry about Claire turning into a villain and shooting him because it won’t be the Future Peter in the future. Make sense?
