After WWE’s ‘Money In The Bank’ PPV where my wife to be and I had a gentleman’s agreement on the winners and losers, I thought I’d record our predictions here so there can be no mind changing! Here they are.
WWE Title Match – Special Referee: Triple H
Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena
Neil Picks: Daniel Bryan will win this one. There are rumblings of Cena going off to get surgery so there will need to be someone to lead the company as the top face.
I do think though, that Orton will come out and cash in Money in the Bank. However it could go either way. Bryan could beat the hell out of him with a weapon and turn heel, keeping the belt. Or Orton will be the one with the steel chair and turn on Bryan and take the title.
Debora Picks: John Cena
World Heavyweight Title Match
Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio
Neil Picks: Christian – there has been a lot of heat on Del Rio lately and he’s been losing a lot of matches. Despite Christian’s dodgy tan, he will be a great champion, and if Orton / Bryan turn heel in the other title match then we need a face champ with the other strap.
Debora Picks: Christian
WWE United States Title Match (Kickoff Pre-show)
Rob Van Dam vs. Dean Ambrose
Neil Picks: Rob! Van! Dam! The Shield are going to implode and RVD – who has been on a hot streak of late – will take the title.
Debora Picks: RVD
Ring of Fire Match
Kane vs. Bray Wyatt
Neil Picks: As much as I want Kane to win this one, it’s going to be Bray that wins the match. Kane is off to film ‘See No Evil 2’ and the WWE are pushing the Wyatts to the moon.
Debora Picks: Kane
CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar
Neil Picks: The Best vs. The Beast. CM Punk will win this – its too predictable. Lesnar has a reduced schedule, only working the odd Raw and three PPVs. Thus he’s not ever going to get a win. Punk will then get his hands on Heyman, but Curtis Axel will make the save and set up a new feud.
Debora Picks: CM Punk
Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow
Neil Picks: Golly, I really don’t care who wins this. Damien Sandow will cheat to win. The WWE has missed the trick to get Goldust back in for a one off special after Sandow accused Cody of coming from a family of clowns. Goldust should have appeared and smashed him with the Broken Dreams.
Debora Picks: Cody Rhodes
Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee and Big E Langston
Neil Picks: Whilst Kaitlyn has been on a losing streak here which suggests she’s due a win, I still think Psycho Chick AJ will pick up the win, if only to push Big E a little bit.
Debora Picks: Dolph and Kaitlyn
Natalya vs. Brie Bella
Neil Picks: This has come about just because of ‘Total Divas’, the botched end to the Natalya/AJ match on Raw might give a bit of heat towards Natty but I’m going with my heart on this one, not my head. Natty wins!
Debora Picks: Brie
