I found this over at /film and I thought it was great so certainly worth a share, originally an image from @HeyDanger.

‘Back To The Future’ has to be one of the greatest films ever made, regardless of what you think about it’s time travel semantics. Back during production, computer rendered graphics were far less substantial than they are today and make-up artists played a much bigger, hands on role. The image below shows the characters from the film using hand crafted age make-up compared to how the actors actually look now they’re the age they’re supposed to be in the film.

Obviously there have been more than advances in CGI technology with people able to get themselves plastic surgery or to a gym which wasn’t accounted for when the film was made. It still makes for great viewing.
