Despite my ongoing rivalry with Chloe Grace Moretz, I do have to admire her work in Kick-Ass. Everyone loved that film, that line, as a result the sequel is building up hype. Now a red-band trailer has been released thanks to Comic-Con which you can view below. Further to that are some of the Comic-Con panel highlights from /film.

Here are a few other quick bullet points from the panel:

– On the panel, Wadlow said he felt like he “won the fanboy lottery.” He explained how he saw the original film in the theaters, loved it, and just happened to catch the attention of Matthew Vaughn when he did an unrelated pitch.
– Each actor was introduced with a quick video montage featuring footage from both films. One highlight was hearing Clark Duke’s character finally find out Dave is Kick-Ass, “It’s like finding out your friend is Will Smith.”
– Christopher Mintz-Plasse had an acting coach on set to help him get into his truly evil character.
– Chloe Grace-Moretz said while Hit Girl starts the movie out as a normal, high school girl, she finally realizes Mindy and Hit Girl are one in the same.
– Nicolas Cage’s character, Big Daddy, may not be in the film but his presence is. Moretz said he sort of hovers over the film like a Godly figure.
– Wadlow said they went on a global search for Mother Russia and jokes he’s on some weird watch lists cause of the sites he visited.
– Wadlow assured fans this was not a “rinse and repeat sequel.” “We put the characters through a meat grinder,” he said. On that note, he said while he loves the characters, they haven teven started thinking about a Kick-Ass 3.
